The CO-SAFE is a field-mounted instrument designed for continuous monitoring of Carbon Monoxide (CO) levels in the surrounding atmosphere. This microcontroller-based, standalone system can operate independently or interface with a PLC or DCS via an RS485 communication port using Modbus RTU protocol. The CO-SAFE uses a high-precision two/three-wire gas sensor to measure CO concentrations and displays the readings on a large digital display. It provides audio/visual alarms through a hooter and beacon when preset CO Gas levels are exceeded. The system features four relay controls, analog signal retransmission, and data logging capabilities for enhanced monitoring. A flashing red beacon and an electronic hooter deliver clear and immediate alarm feedback, ensuring quick response in critical environments.
